Welcome to ACADIA GOLDEN RETRIEVERS & AFGHAN HOUNDS, located on 24 acres in rural Lee County, North Carolina, about one
hour southwest of Raleigh. We are owners/breeders/exhibitors of American and English style Golden Retrievers and also Afghan Hounds. We participate in AKC, UKC and NCA shows in conformation, attend lure coursing events with our Afghan Hounds, and are pursuing field training with some of our Golden Retrievers. We are in good standing with the American Kennel Club, are members of The Golden Retriever Club (UK), the Golden Retriever Club of America and adhere to the Golden Rretriever Club of America Code of Ethics. We are also members of the Moore County Kennel Club,the Sandlapper Golden Retriever Club, theTarheel Golden Retriever Club, the Mid Atlantic Hound Association, and the Carolina Afghan Hound Club. Our breeding program focuses on temperament, soundness and type. Acadia puppies are well adjusted - they are raised in our home with lots of love and attention, giving them the foundation to be ideal family companions.
